Join us to make an easy dress - for summer or winter. We will walk you through using digital patterns (so easy you won't believe it!), choosing the correct size, simple adjustments if needed, cutting and construction. 

We have chosen a few styles from Style Arc Patterns (Stylearc.com), but you are welcome to discuss using a different, simple style with the tutor. The class is designed to teach (or refresh your knowledge of) basic sewing techniques in a fun environment.

Materials List

- Pattern: if you are confident, purchase and download your pattern file. We can send it for printing on your behalf - ask us for assistance. If you are not confident, have a look at the styles and pick one. Contact us before your class to arrange for us to purchase the pattern on your behalf and send it for printing. 

- Fabric as per pattern requirements. You can wait for the first class to discuss suitable fabrics with the tutor - this is an important step to get a pleasing outcome, so do not buy befoer you have discussed with the teacher.

- Thread, interfacing, sewing machine (and overlocker if you have one), cutting out scissors, trimming scissors, pins, tape measure, marking pen or chalk.
