Asa Gilland is a Swedish illustrator based in Jakarta, Indonesia where she lives with her husband, two boys, and cats in a little house beneath a gigantic bougainvillea tree. She has a degree in interior design from Accademia Italiana Moda and worked for many years in graphic design before deciding to follow her passion for illustration. Asa works in a combination of traditional and digital media, drawing her inspiration from the mixture of cultures in the world around her. She produces art for editorials, children’s books, stationery goods, and home décor and loves creating characters and patterns.
