This is a light, watersoluble film backing/topping. Hoop the fabric and backing in the normal way together, or hoop fabric and stick  film over embroidered ares. If fabric is soft or thin, you will need to use another stabiliser like cutaway or tearaway. After sewing, tear away the film. When you wash the piece, the film will dissolve.

Avalon can also be removed by first tearing away and placing a moist piece of backing over the embroidery and lightly pressing with an iron. The Avalon will then stick to the backing and therefore come away.
