The Hat pattern has two versions, knitted flat on straight needles or on the round on double pointed needles.

28 sts and 36 rows to 10 cm [4 ins] over stst on 3.25 mm [3 US] needles.

• Recommended Yarn - 4ply Merino

  1 x 50g Ball

• One pair each size 2.75 mm [2 US] and 3.25 mm [3 US] knitting needles, 2.75 mm [2 US] and 3.25 [3 US] double pointed needles.

When substituting yarn, compare the tension gauge of the pattern and the yarn. Working a tension square to determine the suitability of the yarn as a substitute is recommended - to compare the tension for sizing but also to test whether it creates the fabric you are after.

To determine the quantity of substitute yarn needed, compare the total meterage needed in the pattern to the meterage on the substitute.
