This is a top down yoke garment with a simple, one-row, elongated stitch cable detail using Indian Cross Stitch, making a featherweight garment perfect for that extra layer when a sweater would be too much.
This pattern uses a 12-Ply weight mohair yarn. We can recommend our Dreamfire 'Transkei' 12-Ply mohair yarn, or you can hold a laceweight mohair together with a DK or 8-Ply weight yarn to get the same effect.

When substituting yarn, compare the tension gauge of the pattern and the yarn. Working a tension square to determine the suitability of the yarn as a substitute is recommended - to compare the tension for sizing but also to test whether it creates the fabric you are after.
To determine the quantity needed, compare the total meterage needed in the pattern to the meterage on the substitute.
