Sirdar 5372 Sweater pattern with Bear Motif and matching pillow is an adorable set of patterns. The sweater features a crew neck, set-in sleeves, and fun intarsia teddy bear designs on the front and back. It is knit flat in pieces from the bottom up and then seamed together. Instructions to knit the pillow are included.

Sirdar Snuggly Cashmere Merino DK is a super-soft blend of wool, cashmere, and acrylic. Smooth and tightly plied, this yarn is made for next-to-the-skin wear, and it's machine-washable too. The bear intarsia designs on both sweater and pillow include Snuggly Bunny, a super soft faux fur yarn that makes this toy and garment so much fun to knit. The intarsia patterns are in chart form only.

When substituting yarn, compare the tension gauge of the pattern and the yarn. Working a tension square to determine the suitability of the yarn as a substitute is recommended - to compare the tension for sizing but also to test whether it creates the fabric you are after.

To determine the quantity needed, compare the total meterage needed in the pattern to the meterage on the substitute.
