We're in so in love with the Soldotna Crop, that we decided to offer it as a Knit-A-Long here at Handzon.

This beautiful pullover by well-known designer Caitlin Hunter is a top-down circular yoke sweater that features four colours of stranded colorwork. It can be layered over long-sleeve shirts, dresses, tunics or pants. The fact that it's cropped and sleeveless means it's a (relatively) quick and gratifying project. There are so many exciting possibilities!

If crops aren't your style, it can be easily lengthened to suit your taste; instructions are included for doing this, although keep in mind your yardage will change.

This KAL is best for the advanced beginner to experienced knitter, or the knitter that feels comfortable with simple colourwork and knitting in the round. It is a natural follow-on KAL after taking Handzon's 'Confident Colourwork' course. If you don't know all the techniques, don't worry, we'll help you with that!

In our KAL, Christine Powell, our KAL leader for this project, will help you along the way, right from selecting a good combination of colours and yarns, to swatching to ensure proper fit, and getting your head around all of the terms and paraphernalia. You will love your sweater, as well as the fact that you have learned so much!

Dates: Sundays, 3, 17, 31 October *and* 14, 28 November *and* 12 December (6 sessions). Time: 12.30 to 2pm.
